Mantrailing Classes

Mantrailing classes are limited to 6 dogs MAX
and are approx 2 hours long. 
All abilities can participate.
Dependant on time and trail, some classes each dog will trail 2 times, some once, if they are trailing for a longer distance or doing a harder trail. 

Venue instructions will be given at a later date as these will change regularly so we can trail in lots of different environments. 
Places i trail in include:
Windsor
Chertsey
Staines
Egham
Chobham
Thorpe
Bedfont
Virginia Water

Some venues may require additional fees to park, So please make sure to bring change or a way to pay the parking fee with you. 

Same as the workshops: 
Each dog is worked one at a time.
Therefore it is it is necessary that dogs can wait safetly and quietly in the car until it is their turn. 
There is always at least 1 person by the cars watching the dogs.
Attendees can learn alot from observing the other dogs trailing behaviours, so you are encouraged to watch the other dogs, but if your prefer to stay by your car or be with your dog, this is not a problem.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask.
This means that some time will be spent in your car so please bring with you a bowl of water and some cooling matts (if warm), car sunshades etc.

Covid Guidelines

  1. Every handler brings their own pots. 
  2. The scent article should be placed on the ground either in a bag or even without a bag, by the misper. If in a bag, the misper must open the bag and peel the sides back so that the trailing dog can sniff it, without the handler needing to touch the bag.
  3. You will need to bring your own harness and longline.
  4. Social distancing of 2 m is advised.
  5. Have hand sanitizer with you at all times.
  6. Participants with symptoms of COVID-19 can NOT attend an introduction course or training session.
  7. If the instructor becomes aware of a participant/s showing signs of COVID-19, they will need to isolate them from the group immediately and asked them to leave.
  8. Wear a mask if you wish.
  9. Filling out your books, I will do this at the end of each class.

 If you have booked a space but can no longer make the class, please ask in the North Surrey Mantrailing Facebook page or WhatsApp group to see if you can swap or sell your space to someone else. 
Refunds can not be given unless the space can be filled.

We really enjoy training with Emma. Whether it’s one to one, sniffer training or just lately the Intro to Mantrailing. Emma is so patient and helpful in training us and our dog! She’s extremely knowledgeable and adapts to the different needs of each dog whilst keeping it fun! I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma. Thank you.

Great progression and attention to each dog . We have done 5 sessions with Emma and she has made sure we have progressed at each session..the other participants are friendly and supportive and Emma makes sure locations vary..we were new to MT and I highly recommend Emma .

Blown away how Mia enjoyed the session. She would have keep going . Emma really knows her stuff and seems always amazed at the dogs abilities.She is patient and focused. Will book again for sure. Highly, highly recommended.

I’ve taken Emma’s classes with two of my poodles, both standard and miniature. They both adore the classes, as do I, to see a dog getting so much fun from working and using what comes so naturally to them is wonderful to see. I highly recommend this for any age or breed of dog, it’s a really bonding experience to dog and handler and it seriously wears them out without loads of physical exertion.

With a 9 month old border collie, it's a constant challenge keeping the pup mentally and physically exercised. Mantrailing is great fun and ticks both boxes. Your dog has amazing skills. Try mantrailing; your dog will thank you.

I have done several workshops with Emma and I have loved every minute of them. We are now doing Mantrailing classes with Emma and we are enjoying them so much. Emma is patient and explains everything so well. I highly recommend doing any of her classes or workshops - you won’t be disappointed and your dogs will amaze you.

If you ever thought about trying scent work and Mantrailing......stop thinking about it and get yourself on one of Emma's classes or workshops. Its brilliant fun, you learn lots, your getting lots of fresh air and best of all, your with your dog who is having the best time ever using its amazing nose! Emma is knowledgable and patient and works dogs and handlers at their own pace and ability.

Emma is amazing, Mantrailing is a wonderful sport and Emma is so inspiring in her teaching. She's patient and factors each dogs ability into each lesson. My dog and I love it, please try it you won't be disappointed, it's tremendous fun 👍
