The foundation course is 4 x 2hr workshops
ALL handler and dogs wanting to take Trail Hunt progression classes will have to have completed the foundation course.

The Foundation Plus course is only for dogs who have completed a 4 week foundation course, this is the next stage.

The foundation course will be based in Chertsey, Surrey
Foundation Plus course will be out and about in and around Chertsey
Progression classes after this will be spread around different locations in and around Chertsey. 

All you need to start is a harness and longline (although i can provide a longline if you don't have one yet. AND high value rewards. Please also bring water for your dog and your own chair if you need to sit.

All classes will be outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather, 
This sport includes both Free Trailing (off lead) dont worry if your dog doesnt have recall as we have ways to do this safetly, and on lead Trailing (handler training will be given)

If you decide that you LOVE Trail Hunt, you can register your dog and work your way through achievements, earn rewards and if youre really into it take assessment tests. 

What is Trail Hunt?

Trail Hunt is a scent work sport where we teach our dogs to follow an odour trail in the environment to locate the "Trail Pod" at the end of the trail. 

It is the perfect Blend of Tracking and Trailing offering a highly accessible sport to take part in. 

We use Aniseed as the odour and laid an air bourn scent for the dogs to follow. 

Scent work is a great mental and physical work out for your dog, just ten minutes of scent work is the equivalent to an hours walk so if you have an excitable over enthusiastic dog then this will be just what you and your dog need!
